Journey Through the Skies (2015) and Colours of the Desert (2011) were recorded in Mamas Studio (Vilnius, Lithuania) and Liscombe Park Studios (London, UK), famous for URIAH HEEP and ASIA recordings. Mixed by Steve RISPIN (Tina Turner, Elton John, Asia, Tankard, etc.). Mastered at Abbey Road Studios by Christian Wright.

International Touring

The Skys have performed hundreds of concerts and appeared at major festivals throughout Europe, North America, and Japan. Their international touring has included performances at renowned festivals such as Seattle Hempfest (USA), Cambridge Rock Festival (UK), HRH Prog (UK), Crescendo Festival (France), and ArtRock Festival (Germany), as well as concerts at distinguished venues including Z7 (Pratteln, Switzerland), Hyde Park (Osnabrück), Club Vaudeville (Lindau), Kaminwerk (Memmingen), and 013 Poppodium (Tilburg).


The Skys have shared the stage with Rick Wakeman (ex-YES), the Blues Brothers, The Exploited, Lifesigns, Delirium, John Young Band, Arena, and many other internationally acclaimed artists.


Timeline

  • 2025-2026 Touring in Europe; recording a new album.
  • 2024 – Tour in Japan and Europe.
  • 2023 – inducted to The Akademia Hall of Fame.
  • 2022 – performed at Cambridge Rock Festival.
  • 2020-2021 – received 17 awards for music video “Communication”.
  • 2019 – the new album Automatic Minds has been released. Mastered at Abbey Road Studios, recorded in Los Angeles and London with Grammy Award winner Dom Morley. Featuring: India Carney (Top 5 The Voice of America), Durga McBroom (from Pink Floyd), Glenn Sharp (Behind Total War series), Snowy White (from Pink Floyd), Neil Taylor (Robbie Williams band), Justin Klunk (from Ariana Grande band), Robert Townsend (from Steve Hackett band).
  • 2019 – received The Akademia Executive Award.
  • 2017 – Colours of the Desert was nominated for the best Rock album out of 17K albums and The Pyramid for the best Rock Song out of 240K songs at JPF music awards.
  • 2016 – received The Akademia Music Award for Best Rock Song.
  • 2015 – received The Akademia Music Award for Best Rock/Experimental Song.
  • 2013 and 2014 – played around 100 shows.
  • 2013 – the album exclusively rereleased for German market via Dr. Music Records.
  • 2012 – The Skys music received TV and radio airplay on hundreds of radio stations across Europe, USA and Canada with interviews in the Netherlands, Poland, UK and “album of the week” in Austria, A-listed in Norway, 12 weeks at top 30 charts in Poland.
  • 2012 – many high-quality press articles were published about the band in all major Lithuanian newspapers. The Skys album reviews appeared in the USA, Canada and Europe, receiving very high evaluations.
  • 2012 – the album was re-released on Out of the Box Records.
  • 2012 – The Skys received 9 Awards at various Polish Festivals.
  • 2011 – The Skys signed a publishing contract with Apollo Live.
  • 2010 – The Skys signed an exclusive digital distribution deal with Cinderella Records.
  • 2004 – The Skys were signed to Sutaras Record label for album “Postmodern Game”.
  • 2001 – The Skys made a musical theater performance “Civilized” which was presented in one of the biggest theaters in Vilnius – Jaunimo Teatras.
